Nominations for District 102 Officers Term 2024-2025 - District 102 Toastmasters International

Dear members,

It is my pleasure to call for your nominations for Toastmasters to serve District 102 for the term commencing from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025. Specifically, we are seeking nominations for the office of:

District Director
Program Quality Director
Club Growth Director
Division Directors for Divisions A, B, C, D, E, G, M and R

KEY POINTS FOR THE NOMINATIONS:

Ensure that the nominees meet the minimum qualifications required by Toastmasters International prior to submitting the nominations. Click on the link below to download and fill out all the following forms:

And attach a recent passport-size photograph

Please send completed forms to District Leadership Committee Chair, Teoh Chun Ming, DTM at te**********@gm***.com (to be received before 5:00 pm, 31 January 2024). The District Leadership Committee WILL NOT entertain nominations received after the deadline or applications submitted with incomplete documents.

The nominations received will be reviewed by the District Leadership Committee after which members of the nomination team may contact the nominees to confirm their respective information and to seek clarification on details as necessary. An interview (face-to-face, by phone or via Zoom) may also be arranged before the list of successful nominees is finalised.

All positions for the 2024-2025 term are opened for nominations. There is no definite line of succession nor is there automatic or guaranteed progression along the hierarchy. The election of District 102 officers for the 2024-2025 term will take place at 2nd District Council Meeting to be held via Zoom meeting platform on Saturday, 27 April 2024 at 1:30pm.

District Administration Manager, District Finance Manager and District Public Relations Manager shall be appointed by the incoming District Director. Nominations for Area Director positions will be invited separately. Please contact your Area Director for more details.

NOMINATION SCHEDULE

15 December 2023 – 31 January 2024
“Call for Nomination”: District will email blast “Call for Nomination” to all members.

1 February – 11 March 2024
The District Leadership Committee will review all nominations before the stated deadline. Members of the nomination team may contact nominated candidates for confirmation of information, clarification of details. They may also want to interview the candidates, before finalizing its list of successful nominated candidates.

18 March 2024
Submission of successful candidates to District Director, CP Lau, DTM by 5:00pm.

25 March 2024
The District will email blast the list of successful candidates to all members.
* Please note that those who have not been selected by the District Leadership Committee may still be nominated from the floor during District Officer Election on 27 April 2024.

25 March – 26 April 2024
Campaigning period by candidates.

Fellow Toastmasters,

Whether we are nominating a member or is a nominee ourselves, we must always bear in mind that we come wholeheartedly to serve the District. Once the commitment is made, the responsibility is upon the team to work towards our common goal i.e., towards the growth and development of members and clubs.

Every club represents the pulse of District 102. It is the district leaders who will serve and ensure that the clubs run according to the guidelines laid down by Toastmasters International.
