✨ 386th Club Meeting Recap | 13 April 2026 ✨ Theme: 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 Our 386th meeting kicked off on a warm and engaging note with Toastmaster of the Evening, Leong Ho Ming, PI4, who invited everyone to share one thing they love without a reason. While some of us took a moment to ponder, the responses were heartfelt, thoughtful, and entertaining—proving that we all have something special we cherish, even without logic attached. The evening continued with two wonderful prepared speeches. 🎤 Ling En Han, SR5 delivered his Icebreaker Speech titled “Fear Is the Mind Killer.” He bravely shared his journey of growing up as a quiet, introverted child with low self‑esteem, and how he once found the courage to stand up to a school bully. His story was both inspiring and relatable. 🎤 Next, Gavin Eng, DL3 took us on a delightful journey with his speech “I Went to Taiping.” Sharing stories from his first trip to Taiping—made at the invitation of his friend, John Ng—Gavin kept us thoroughly entertained with humorous moments and memorable encounters. The meeting concluded with a strong evaluation session for both Table Topics and prepared speeches. We were privileged to learn from our experienced evaluators: ⭐ Kajamugan Jeyananthan, DTM, Program Quality Director ⭐ Meyyappa Manickam, DTM, Fast & Furious Toastmasters Club ⭐ Alan Ming, PI5, General Evaluator from Friendship Toastmasters Club With quality speeches, insightful evaluations, and great camaraderie, members and guests alike thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. 🌟

What a meaningful and energizing session it was as we gathered for our 68th meeting, centered around the powerful theme “Who You Are Becoming.” The meeting was a great success, filled with growth, reflection, and inspiring moments.A special mention to Toastmaster Thinusha, who stepped into the role of Toastmaster of the Evening for the very first time—and delivered it with confidence and grace. A strong start to many more to come! Our Table Topics Master, Toastmaster Hani, brought a fresh twist to the session. The topics were already engaging, but the way speakers were selected through a fun and interactive game made it even more exciting. Four brave speakers stepped up to the challenge—well done! DTM Parames delivered a powerful speech on leading in difficult situations, handling challenging audience concerns with composure and elegance. A true example of leadership in action. Toastmaster Narendra presented his first DTM project speech, introducing an innovative idea—a new timing device for Toastmasters. A creative and promising project that sparked interest among members. On the evaluation front, Table Topics Evaluator Subra provided thoughtful feedback, while Noor Maziela and Dr. Saras offered insightful and constructive evaluations that truly helped speakers grow. Our technical role players—Parames, Sanjaty, and Shangeetha—ensured the meeting ran smoothly with their excellent support. A warm welcome to our first-time guest, Dr. Jalmilah, who also took on the role of General Evaluator and delivered impactful feedback. Thank you for your valuable presence! This meeting wasn’t just another session—it was a moment of reflection. Over the past 9 months, we have all been evolving, growing, and becoming better versions of ourselves through this Toastmasters journey. 📅 Join us for our next meeting on 6th May—we can’t wait to see you there!

About 2 weeks ago, on 29 March 2026 (Sunday), our club held its International Speech and Evaluation Contest. It was a stage filled with some of our best speakers. I don’t consider myself an excellent speaker (not yet 😉), but I gave it my best… and I’d love to share a little about the experience as a contestant. I’m still learning to manage my stage fright, so please allow me a little grace 💛 If you’re also looking to grow your communication skills, come join us at our next #clubmeeting : 🗓️ Date: 27 April 2026 (Monday) ⌚ Time: 7:45 PM – 10:00 PM 📍 Potpourri Boutique Hotel Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/dVfpH8V2djLJBYiw6 💛 RSVP: https://wa.link/2x0m18 #publicspeaking #Toastmasters #SpeakingContest #growthjourney #confidencebuilding #johorbahru
